New Avengers #49 and how angry I get when I see that $3.99 cover price!

Another of Bendis’s solid Dark Reign books here.

Great to see that the fall-out of Secret Invasion is better than Secret Invasion itself as that series was quite the let down.

Of course I have to say that to have this line “Stock market crashes and some dirtbag parachutes out with a billion dollars” when this is Marvels 1st regular title to have the extra dollar cover price to appease the Marvel Stock holders that aren’t hurting one bit is an odd irony.

It sickens me that rather than look out for the buyers of Marvel comics the responsibility to make the shareholder as much $$ as possible comes 1st.

What about making sure the buyers don’t have solid reasons to leave comics altogether for reasons like, um I dunno…

MARVEL RAISED THEIR PRICES FOR NO REASON BUT TO MILK THE FANS!

I love comics and I’m not going any where any time soon, but I am avoiding as many of the 1 buck more for no extra value books marvel is putting out like the Blue Marvel that I would other wise buy.

And I’m not the only one doing that.

The U.S. is in bad shape and this is the worst time possible for Marvel to be pulling this shit.

I just hope they come to their senses and drop the titles price back down to $2.99, hell even an across the board .25 cent increase would be easy enough to tolerate, but and extra buck for fuck all?

Fuck you Marvel!

I say this of course after having bought 8 marvel comics this week none at the inflated price but New Avengers.

Marvels not hurting, but the average comics fan is.

And then you’ve got DC sticking with the $2.99 books right across the board…

Funny that…
